Greetings,
November at every high school around the state means WKCE testing. Starting the first week in November and continuing for two weeks, Badger will be testing the sophomore class. It is a great opportunity for our students to show how they have grown academically since their last testing ineighth grade. The scores are also used to compare schools around the state. When the results are available (around February of next year), our teachers will look at the results to see where we can improve instruction for our students. While the organization and planning for the test is quite challenging, the feedback we receive is valuable for classroom instruction.
Due to the economic times we have many more families who are in need of assistance. If you want to know if your child/ children qualify for reduced fee or free lunches during the school day, forms are available in the main office at Badger. If you need help in filling out the form, we will be happy to assist you. Please help us to make sure that your student(s) is/are eating properly. Proper nutrition is imperative for students to perform at their best during the day.
It is the time of the year where colds and viruses seemingly become more common. Please keep your student home if he/she is showing signs of being sick. If flu like symptoms are present, wait 24 hours after the symptoms are gone to send your student back to school. We are doing all we can to keep Badger a clean and safe environment.
Congratulations to all of our sports and extracurricular activities for a great fall season. We look forward to a great winter of memorable performances.
Go Badgers!
